F.A.Q.

Is Beanty really the way he’s depicted in the short stories?
Yes. Beanty is a scary, entertaining and highly communicative cat just as he appears in the flash fiction pieces. It’s why we love him.
Are the stories fiction or true?
Each story is part memoir and part fiction but they’re only meant to be funny short stories.
Are you available to write for us?
Yes. I am available for freelance writing assignments. I can be reached at hello [at] sayhellobeanty [dot] com.
Has Beanty ever been injured?
No. His yellow streak acts as an effective injury deterrent. And due to that same yellow streak, his ability to self police is extraordinary.
Now at times, he may have thought he was going to die but as a loving cat owner, his safety and well being are my number one priority.
May I use your articles or images?
I’m always happy to entertain ideas. Please feel free to contact me.

What breed of cat is Beanty?
Beanty is a domestic shorthair. At one time, rumors circulated that he might be a Russian Blue or Korat based on his blue grey coat.
Faced with pretty scant evidence, the rumors soon died.
How old is Beanty?
Beanty is four.
Where did you get the idea to write about your cat?
Living with a cat, or divo in my case, yields the kind of experiences that demand an audience. Every is a sucker for a good character.
What the heck is flash fiction?
It’s fiction piece of a 1,000 words or less. You’re already pretty familiar with it if you’ve read Aesop’s Fables, O. Henry, Franz Kafka or Kurt Vonnegut.
Where did you get the name Beanty?
I have no idea.
Where was Beanty adopted?
Beanty was adopted from the caring people at the Wicomico County Humane Society located in Maryland.
